The Korean Dream Hangang Grand Festival is a large-scale, citizen-participatory cultural event for unification held along the Han River in Seoul. This festival addresses unification through art and culture rather than ideological discussions, and is designed to allow citizens to participate and experience it firsthand. It features content across various genres, including booth activities, music, performances, and fireworks shows, with a focus on emotional and creative programs that can be enjoyed by both the younger and older generations. The Organizing Committee aims to make this event a turning point for a citizen-led unification movement, rather than a one-off occasion. Since 2015, the festival has been held in various locations, including the Seoul World Cup Stadium, the National Assembly Lawn, and Imjingak. Following its launch on August 15, 2025, under the name "Korean Dream Hangang Grand Festival," the event is being held at the Han River for the second consecutive time this year, with plans to develop it into a cultural platform to broaden public consensus. The festival is structured to allow citizens to participate as active agents rather than mere spectators, with a focus on conveying the message of unification as an inspiring experience in everyday life.
