About this event

The 8th Geumcheon Science Festival, "2026 G-Science Festival," is an event hosted and organized by the Geumcheon-gu Office of Seoul. The slogan is "A Vibrant Future Geumcheon Communicating with AI," and the event will be held daily from 10:00 to 17:00 from September 18 (Fri) to 19 (Sat), 2026, in the area surrounding the Geumcheon-gu Office, including the Office Plaza and Sunken Plaza. The target audience is 9,000 youths and residents from within and outside the district. The program is organized across five zones: the Water Splash Shelter, the Office Lobby, the Office Plaza, the Sunken Plaza, and the Grand Auditorium. The Water Splash Shelter will feature an Alcraft mobile motion simulator and a Seoul Science Museum escape room bus, while the Office Lobby will have booths for AI automatic piano performance and AI fortune telling experiences. The District Office Plaza will feature basic science experience booths, a robot dog (Unitree Go2 Pro), 3D pen experiences, balancing dragonfly making, X2 humanoid robots, environment-related booths, Korea Meteorological Administration-linked experiences, upcycling flowerpot making, and a National Geographic experience booth. The Sunken Plaza will host experiences such as digital tattoos, AI Gomoku, AI vs. Human Typing Challenges, and a "Distinguish Real Pictures" game. The Main Auditorium will feature booths from 2026 CES Innovation Award winners Otiton (smart thermometers) and Geowind (wind turbines), as well as 4DX World Heritage content, AR smart glasses, and a Vive Coding Contest (hackathon). Stage programs include a Science Magic Show, Magic Bubble Show, the science musical "Tomorrow Running with Science," youth busking performances, guerrilla events, and a commemorative ceremony featuring a robot dance performance. Additionally, a stamp tour event will be held as a side activity, offering souvenirs to those who collect five stamps.
