The Gyeongbokgung Starlight Night Tour is a nighttime exploration program that takes visitors through the northern district of Gyeongbokgung Palace to experience royal cuisine and traditional culture. Accompanied by expert commentary, visitors move through various parts of the palace to examine the life of the Joseon Dynasty royal family and the historical stories intertwined with Gyeongbokgung. At the Oesojubang, the palace kitchen, visitors can enjoy a special 12-course meal presented in the form of a "Dosilg," a modern reinterpretation of the Joseon Dynasty royal court banquet. This year, a special Changgeuk (traditional Korean opera) telling the story of the king will be presented at Jipokjae, King Gojong's study, offering a unique experience where the history of the space blends with the performance. Following this, visitors can gaze at the starlight reflected in Hyangwonji Pond and enjoy an atmosphere distinct from the daytime amidst the serene landscape of Gyeongbokgung. At the Gyeongbokgung Starlight Night Tour, where the culinary culture of the Joseon royal family embodied in royal cuisine, historical spaces, beautiful night views, and traditional culture come together, you can experience a special and warm night at the palace.
