The Busan Fireworks Festival is Korea's representative maritime multimedia fireworks festival, held on the stage of Gwangalli Beach and the Gwangandaegyo Bridge. Beginning with a celebratory fireworks show for the 2005 APEC Summit, it is a representative autumn cultural event in Busan that marks its 21st anniversary this year. The festival showcases a massive maritime multimedia show where music and fireworks harmonize, utilizing the special lighting and large-scale production systems of the Gwangandaegyo Bridge. Through unique production techniques that leverage the geographical characteristics of the night sea at Gwangalli and large-scale fireworks launches, it has established itself as a global festival visited by numerous domestic and international spectators every year. Marking its 21st anniversary this year, the event is set to adorn the night sky of Busan with even more sophisticated storytelling and maritime fireworks displays.
