Jagalchi Market is Korea's largest seafood market and one of Busan's most iconic landmarks, stretching along the waterfront in Nam-gu. The ground floor is a lively wholesale market where haenyeo (female divers) and fishermen sell their morning catch β including live octopus, sea cucumber, turban shells, and whole fish. Head upstairs to the indoor restaurants to have your chosen seafood cleaned and prepared as hoe platters, grilled dishes, or spicy jjigae. The market is busiest and most atmospheric in the early morning.
