Busan Youth Week

To commemorate Youth Day—a statutory commemorative day (the third Saturday of September) established to raise awareness of youth issues and promote the importance of guaranteeing youth rights—the 8th Busan Youth Week will be held at Busan Port Pier 1 for three days, from September 18 (Fri) to 20 (Sun). The slogan for the 2026 Busan Youth Week is "The Faces of Busan." With the event theme of a "Mask Arena" where Busan's sea meets youth, the stories of young people living in Busan, a city embracing the Southeast Sea, will be portrayed. Based on the premise that individual stories come together to form the face of the city, programs directly planned by young directors living in Busan will offer a special time for youth to temporarily set aside their social obligations (main characters) and discover their true selves (secondary characters). In particular, the programs incorporate immersive production techniques, adding the unique characteristics and creativity of the young directors. Beginning with the Youth Day commemorative ceremony held at Busan Port Pier 1 on September 19, a variety of programs will unfold over the three days at youth spaces, including the Busan Youth Center.
