Gangdong Prehistoric Culture Festival

*The festival details below are from the previous year (2025), and the details for 2026 are currently being updated.* Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the Gangdong Prehistoric Culture Festival is the only festival in Seoul themed around the prehistoric era. It boasts a variety of programs that allow visitors to experience the lives of prehistoric people while promoting the historical value of prehistoric sites. This year, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the Amsa-dong site in Seoul, the festival is organized into separate spaces based on the four elements of water, fire, earth, and wind under the theme "6,000 Years of Breath, 100 Years of Light, 30 Years of Resonance." Each space will be filled with staging tailored to the characteristics of its material, diverse exhibitions, hands-on experiences, nighttime programs, delicious food, and colorful performances, promising to offer visitors a special enjoyment that transcends the past and the present.
