Starting with the 1st Baekje Grand Festival held in Buyeo-gun in 1955, the Baekje Cultural Festival is Korea's representative historical and cultural festival, marking its 72nd edition this year. It is a festival that has fostered regional identity and pride by widely promoting Baekje's brilliant culture and long-standing history, inheriting and developing the spirit and cultural heritage of our ancestors in a modern context, and enhancing the region's identity. The 72nd Baekje Cultural Festival will be held for nine days from Saturday, October 3 to Sunday, October 11, 2026, in the downtown area of Buyeo-eup under the theme "Beautiful Baekje, Shining Sabi." Centered around the Jeongnimsa Temple Site, Seoktap-ro, Uiyeol-ro, and the Gwanbuk-ri Historic Site, the festival will showcase approximately 40 programs across seven categories, including ancestral rites and Buddhist ceremonies, historical and cultural processions, performances, exhibitions, hands-on experiences, and nightscapes. In particular, this year's festival will be held in downtown Buyeo, operating as an open event where the history and culture of Baekje, local businesses, and the daily lives of residents harmonize, and is expected to provide visitors with a special cultural experience where the past and present coexist.

Representative Programs - Opening & Closing Ceremonies: Official opening and closing ceremonies, celebratory performances - Proclamation of the Relocation of the Capital to Sabi: Proclamation of the justification for the relocation to Sabi and staging of a large-scale relocation procession, Jeongdo Goyuje (ritual for the capital), celebratory performances - Theme Performance: Beautiful Baekje, Shining Sabi, Theme Performance for the 72nd Baekje Cultural Festival - Theme Exhibition Hall (The Promise of the Baekje People): A journey to Baekje by opening the gates of time 2. Rituals - Gocheonje (Ritual for Heaven) - 11 Types of Rituals and Buddhist Offerings: Lighting of the Baekje Soul Flame (Gocheonje) and 10 types of rituals and Buddhist offerings 4. Performance Programs - Cultural and Artistic Performances - Sabi Baekje Talk Concert and 8 others Programs 5. Experience Programs - Welcome to Baekje - Sabi Roblox - A Tour of Sabi, etc. (9 programs) 6. Landscape Programs - Night of Sabi - The King's Garden - Baekje Night Crafted with Light, etc. 7.
