The 2026 Ulsan Outdoor Library 'Sopung' is an outdoor reading culture event where participants read books while gazing at the sea. Hosted by Ulsan Metropolitan City, the event takes place at the Seuldo Art Center within Seuldo in Bang-eo-dong, Dong-gu, Ulsan. The event name 'Sopung' is themed around 'Seuldok,' signifying wise reading that unfolds at Seuldo. The event runs from September 19 to October 18, 2026. It will be held a total of 10 times, every Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The main program consists of busking performances, book talks, DJ performances, pan flute performances, readings, Starlight Docent tours, and outdoor movie screenings. Authors Choi Young-sil, Kim Cho-yeop, Ko Eun-hee, Yozo, and Kim Su-bin will participate in the book talk program. The films to be screened include *Little Forest*, *Puppy*, *Kiki's Delivery Service*, *Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea*, and *Sing*. The outdoor live performance program features artists such as Dinosaur Yunyul, Purple Pizza, Summer Vacation, Shin Band, Lee Young-ah, Lee Ki-hyuk, Gil Ki-pan & Kim Byung-jun, Lee Ha-sil & Lee Jong-min, as well as the S2 Magic magic performance team. The detailed operating hours and lineup of the event program are subject to change depending on on-site conditions. This event provides a weekend outdoor cultural space and reading experience environment for Ulsan citizens and visitors.
