The ‘2026 Pohang Haetteumyeon Noodle Festival’ is a grand culinary event held at Ara Plaza in Guryongpo, on the Homibando Peninsula, where the sun rises first in Korea. The festival name, ‘Haetteumyeon,’ intuitively captures everything from the symbolism of the Homibando Peninsula—where the sun rises above the horizon—to the joy of lifting chewy noodles and scooping up rich broth. Visitors can taste everything from famous Pohang noodle restaurants and representative noodles from across the country to global noodles and recipes from star chefs all in one place. The festival is also packed with entertainment options, including a music festival appealing to all generations, cooking competitions, and retro experiences. Equipped with an eco-friendly system utilizing smart QR ordering and reusable containers, it offers a unique and differentiated gastronomic journey that awakens taste and excitement first amidst the blue energy of the East Sea.
