The Andamiro Guite Museum introduces the radiant teapots and teacups captured within the canvases of masterpieces, along with the warm breath of life embedded within them. In the late 15th century, the sea routes of the Age of Discovery, undertaken in search of spices, became conduits transporting not only the mysterious tea leaves of the East but also the exquisite Greek aesthetics that held them to Europe. Painters of the time began to capture the vibrant warmth flowing within warm teacups and the moments of happy teatime on canvas with dazzling colors. This exhibition goes beyond the landscapes of the canvas, offering a special experience of encountering the actual teapots and teacups held by the protagonists in these paintings. From the mysterious warmth conveyed by William MacGregor Paxton’s *Tea Leaves* to the ornate silver teapot featured in Mary Cassatt’s *The Tea*, we invite you to experience the leisure of a cup of tea felt by the figures in these masterpieces with a vivid sense of realism.
