About this event

The Silla Culture Festival, which began with its first edition in 1962, marks its 53rd anniversary this year. It is filled with diverse content, ranging from the Hwabaek Festival, which recreates the brilliant history of Silla against the backdrop of Woljeong Bridge, to the Street Art Festival, featuring spectacular performances by numerous artists, and the Silk Road Festa. The Hwarang Hip Hop Festa presents a unique spectacle only seen in Gyeongju, featuring performances by Korea's top-tier hip-hop artists set against the backdrop of ancient tombs. Adding to the enjoyment, the Dalbit Nanjang is a romantic night market where local merchants participate directly to showcase the flavors of Gyeongju. As such, at the Silla Culture Festival, the representative festival of the thousand-year-old capital of Gyeongju, visitors can experience special moments where history and art harmonize as one.

Main Programs - Hwabaek Festival: The dawn of Silla and a thousand years of history, featuring spectacular water performances and fireworks displays. - Silk Road Festa: A street art festival offering high-quality, entertaining performances encountered by chance on the streets. 2. Side Programs - Hwarang Hip Hop Festa (Hip Hop Festival): Hip-hop beats to shake the ancient tombs! Where Hwarang meets hip-hop. (Cast: To be revealed sequentially via the official Instagram.) - Moonlight Festival (Romantic Night Market): A spoonful of sentiment and a cup of romance enjoyed in the heart of the city. 3. Silla Culture Festival Created Together with Citizens! - Youth Green Leader Hwarang Wonhwadan: Planning festival plogging and environmental experience programs. - Citizen SNS Supporters: Social media promotion of festivals, exhibitions, performances, and cultural events organized by the Gyeongju Cultural Foundation. - Citizen Producers: Planning and implementation of Silla Culture Festival experience and exhibition programs.
