2026 Pyeongchang Daegwallyeong Music Festival

The 2026 Pyeongchang Daegwallyeong Music Festival (Artistic Director Yang Sung-won), hosted by Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and organized by the Gangwon Cultural Foundation, will be held for 11 days from Thursday, July 23 to Sunday, August 2, across the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, including the Alpensia Concert Hall and Daegwallyeong Outdoor Performance Venue (Music Tent) in Daegwallyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun. Under the theme of "Legacy and Innovation," this year aims to demonstrate that the works of composers accumulated over hundreds of years remain alive and breathing to this day, serving as the foundation of art and the soil for new creations. By introducing many new musicians and works, the festival plans to connect the entire performance into a single narrative and journey, providing the audience with an opportunity to experience the grand flow of music. The program will feature 19 performances, 10 performances, a "Chamber Music Membership Program" and "Masterclasses," 5 performances, and "Special Lectures."
