Myeongju Puppet Festival

The Myeongju Puppet Festival is a puppet festival in the Yeongdong region that has been loved by the citizens of Gangneung since its inaugural event in 2014. Attracting nearly 10,000 visitors annually, it has established itself as the representative family festival of the Yeongdong area. Visitors can enjoy various genres of puppetry, including hand puppets, paper cup puppets, puppet musicals, and shadow puppets. Additionally, supplementary events such as hands-on experience programs and exhibitions are prepared to provide children with diverse activities.
