The 3rd Chudo Island Film Festival

The 3rd Chudo Island Film Festival is a community-participatory island film festival held on Chudo, a beautiful island in Tongyeong. Created jointly by island villagers and artists, the festival offers a special experience of enjoying movies under the sound of waves and the starlight of the night sky. The festival screens a diverse range of films, ranging from residency films produced by directors staying on Chudo to feature and short films themed around "longing" and "nature," both at an outdoor theater by the night sea and indoors. In addition to film screenings, a variety of programs take place, including "Ibagu Trekking," where participants walk with residents to listen to island stories; "Sunset Dining featuring Seasonal Seafood"; and "Q&A with the Audience (GV)," where filmmakers and audiences interact. It is a warm and open festival that rediscovers the island's unique scenery and sentiments through the medium of film, allowing residents, audiences, and filmmakers to freely mingle.
