About this event

The Haman Aragaya Cultural Festival is a representative regional cultural festival designed to shed new light on the brilliant history and culture of Aragaya from a modern perspective, and to discover diverse historical and cultural content so that many people can easily and enjoyably experience the value of Aragaya. During the festival, various performances and celebratory events themed around the history and culture of Aragaya take place, offering visitors a wealth of sights to see. In particular, programs are prepared for everyone to participate in, including a history experience course where visitors can directly feel the lifestyle and culture of Aragaya, as well as experiences such as mounted warrior training and procession tours. Additionally, visitors can encounter cultural content with a fresh and youthful sensibility through the "Malisan Healingye" performance program, which is planned and executed by young people. Alongside this, programs vividly recreating the historical stories of Aragaya—such as the World Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival, the Changing of the Guard Ceremony, and the Procession of King Ara—are held, and various hands-on activities for families and tourists to enjoy together take place in the area of the Malisan Ancient Tombs. The highlight of the festival is the themed performance "Ara Hongnyeon," featuring spectacular fireworks that offer a special moving experience where the history and culture of Aragaya, as well as tradition and modernity, harmonize. The Haman Aragaya Cultural Festival will go beyond a mere spectator event to become a living historical and cultural festival where visitors can directly see, hear, and experience, stepping into the history of Aragaya.
