2026 Hongcheon eSports Festival

Hongcheon County is hosting a family-friendly experiential event in conjunction with the summer vacation festival to attract family visitors and revitalize the local economy. The 2026 Hongcheon eSports Festival is organized with the purpose of strengthening Hongcheon County's eSports brand and developing new cultural content through a festival based on a new cultural industry. Featuring a total prize pool of 20 million won—the highest ever offered for an amateur tournament—and expanded to four game titles, the event is designed to be enjoyed by all age groups. Beyond mere competition, it is a participatory event that the whole family can enjoy and watch through various programs, including a VR experience zone, game experience zone, cosplay zone, drone experience zone, eSports coaching, and career counseling.
