Gunsan Jjamppong Festival

The Gunsan Jjamppong Festival is a representative gourmet festival centered on Jjamppong, Gunsan's signature dish, where visitors can enjoy the taste of Gunsan Jjamppong filled with fresh seafood and abundant local agricultural products. Gunsan Jjamppong evolved into the version we enjoy today by adding fresh seafood unique to a port city and spicy red chili powder suited to Korean palates to "Chomamyeon," a dish made by Chinese immigrants using pork, beef, and chicken bone broth until the early 1970s. The festival grounds feature not only Chinese food and snack booths but also various Jjamppong-themed experience programs and colorful stage performances, promising to offer visitors a special taste and enjoyment.
