The Jeonju International Picture Book Fair (JIPF) is Korea's representative picture book culture festival that communicates with the world through picture books, which have emerged as global content. It is a special festival where visitors can admire the unique original artwork of renowned domestic and international authors up close every year. In addition to showcasing Korean picture book authors, the festival invites a guest each year to intensively introduce the artistic world of a world-class picture book author representing their respective country. The 5th JIPF features Taiwanese author Jimmy Liao and Korean author Kim Dong-sung, and will be held from October 2 (Fri) to October 4 (Sun), 2026, at the Exhibition Hall of the Korea Sound Culture Center under the theme "Picturing the Memories." The festival begins with an opening ceremony and features book exhibitions and lectures by domestic and international authors, a book market with participating publishers, and a "Starting Author Exhibition" to foster emerging local artists. Furthermore, a variety of performances, hands-on programs, and conferences utilizing books add to the richness of the event. Next, the exhibition of original picture book artwork to continue the festive atmosphere will continue until Sunday, October 25, 2026.
