216-1, Gyeongin-ro, Michuhol-gu, Incheon (Dohwa-dong)
Launched in 2014, Haksan Madanggeuk Nollae is a representative citizen creative arts festival hosted and organized by the Michuhol Haksan Cultural Center in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, where citizens directly create and enjoy original plays. It is an exhilarating gathering where residents come together in their neighborhoods to communicate through culture and share performance works created to reflect local issues and life stories with their neighbors. It is evolving into a venue for citizen culture and arts that transcends diverse forms of artistic expression, including original Nanta plays, mask dance dramas, plays, puppet shows, musical theater, and immersive dramatic readings. Residents, artists, related organizations, and institutions are uniting to foster the growth of community art and the development of local culture, all aimed at creating a resident-led community arts festival made by local residents.
