Gimcheon Grape Festival

The 2026 Gimcheon Grape Festival is Korea's representative summer fruit festival, a comprehensive tourism event centered on grapes—a specialty of Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang Province—where various experiences and culture blend together. Held from August 14 to 16, the festival is being newly operated as a stay-type event that combines experiences, relaxation, and gastronomy, moving away from the previous focus on simple exhibitions and sales. In particular, it offers a direct sales market where visitors can taste and purchase high-quality Gimcheon grapes, including Shine Muscat, as well as grape desserts, wine, and experiential programs, ensuring enjoyment for people of all ages. Furthermore, it has garnered a great response from family tourists through diverse content such as grape harvesting experiences, children's activity zones, performances, and nighttime programs. In response to climate change, the 2026 festival is designed to ensure a comfortable experience even in the middle of summer by enhancing water play facilities, cooling zones, and nighttime content. It is also expanding into an integrated fruit festival that showcases representative local fruits such as plums and peaches.
