About this event

The Bonghwa Euneo Festival is a summer water festival held against the backdrop of the natural environment, featuring the sweetfish as its main theme. To allow visitors to directly experience the ecology of the sweetfish, the festival presents net fishing and bare-handed fishing experiences as its core offerings. In addition to these fishing programs, the festival features a variety of performances, food experiences utilizing sweetfish as ingredients, and refreshing water play activities. Furthermore, to address climate change, the festival provides a wide range of infrastructure and amenities within the grounds, including showers, shade structures, and rest areas. This is a participatory, experiential festival operated based on ecological resources.

Experience Events: Sweetfish Net Fishing, Sweetfish Bare-handed Fishing, 'Sweetfish King' World's Best Net Fishing King Selection Contest, National Bare-handed Fishing Contest, Global Net Fishing Team Competition (Foreigner Net Fishing God Selection Contest), Sweetfish Championship: War of Solidarity (Bare-handed fishing competition with participation from related organizations within Bonghwa-gun), Splash! 1. Children's Water Park, Naeseongcheon Sand Playground, Water Play Zone (Pedal Boat Experience) 2. Performance Events: Opening Ceremony & Opening Celebration Performance, 2nd Lee Mong-ryong Selection Contest, Silver Bonghwa Arts Festival, Sweetfish Neon Live, GoGo Dino Insect Expedition Sing-Along Show!, Changhyeon Street Karaoke, Choi Baek-ho Concert, Youth GoGo-Stage, Silver Crush Waterbomb, Closing Ceremony & Closing Celebration Performance 3. Resident Participation Events: Delivery Zone, Bonghwa Harmony Day (Campaign to Create a Safe Festival and Eradicate Price Gouging) 4.
