Jeonju Gamak Festival

This is the only festival in the country where you can taste fresh, cold beer produced on the same day at the Hite Jinro factory in Jeonju. Loved for its special charm of "drinking beer brewed today, today," the Jeonju Gamak Festival is Jeonju's representative summer festival that expands the city's unique "Gamak" culture—where people traditionally enjoyed dried seafood and beer together at small neighborhood shops—into a festival. The festival grounds are filled with a harmonious blend of diverse snacks from Gamak establishments recognized by locals, chilled beer produced that day, and spectacular performances that add excitement to the summer night. Held for three days from August 6 to 8, the 2026 Jeonju Gamak Festival revives Jeonju's unique "Gamak" culture in a festival format, allowing visitors to experience both the snacks from the old shop alleys and the excitement of the festival venue simultaneously.
