About this event

The Jeonju National Heritage Night Tour, a night festival of national heritage unfolding amidst beautiful night scenery, will be held from June 5 (Fri) to 6 (Sat), 2026, under the slogan "Jeonju, the Ancient City of a Thousand Years, A Night Stroll Through History." The event is scheduled to take place in the areas surrounding Jeonju's representative historical and cultural spaces, including Hanok Village, Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Jeolla Provincial Office, Jeonju Hyanggyo, and Pungnammun Gate. Illuminating the history of Jeonju as the home of the Joseon Dynasty and the royal capital of Later Baekje, this Jeonju Night Tour will feature "masters" from eight different fields presenting diverse programs such as performances, hands-on experiences, exhibitions, and tours. Through experiential content that blends historical spaces with the stories of Jeonju, visitors will be able to vividly experience the value of Jeonju's history and national heritage.

1. Magicians of Light - Shining Spaces of National Heritage: Nightscapes created using Dancheong lanterns, media signage, photo zones, and more. 2. Magicians of National Heritage - National Heritage Showdown: Direct participation competition content including reporting, history quizzes, and games. - National Heritage March of a Thousand Years: A large-scale march parade featuring citizens and artists coming together. - In Search of the Lost Later Baekje: A stamp tour containing the history of Jeonju, the royal capital of Later Baekje. - National Heritage Capturing the Sounds of Jeonju: A time for healing and meditation with Bangjja Yugi singing bowls. 3. Magicians of Storytelling - National Heritage Olympics: A program expressing the desire to host the Jeonju Olympics, utilizing the lives and spirits of our ancestors. - National Heritage Storyteller: Stories of Jeonju's thousand-year history, spanning from the Later Baekje royal capital era to the present. - National Heritage Board Game Showdown: A game of Joseon-era board games accompanied by historical stories of traditional games. 4. Magicians of Painting - National Heritage Experiential Play: A space to experience kits developed in-house by the Jeonju National Heritage Night Walk. - National Heritage Street Painter: A personalized painting created by a Joseon-era painter. Joseon-style Portrait - National Heritage Fantasy Doodle Pad: A public doodle pad colored using recycled crayons 5. Performance Magicians - National Heritage Concert "Pungryu Hanmadang": A large-scale concert presented by local artists at a national heritage site - Meeting Taejo and Yahaengi: An event welcoming visitors to take photos with the mascots Taejo and Yahaengi - The Birth of the Jeolla Provincial Governor: Jeolla Gamyeong History Theme Park featuring Joseon-era job experiences and nostalgic games - National Heritage Musicians: Traditional instrument performances by solo musicians captivating visitors with beautiful melodies - The Roar of the Mung Bean Flower: A program exploring the history and spirit of the Donghak Rebellion through commentary, videos, and photo exhibitions - Unexpected Korean Traditional Music: Unexpected Korean traditional music performances set against the backdrop of national heritage sites during the Jeonju Night Walk 6. Travel Magicians - Hanok Village Alley Tour: A guided tour of the alleys in Jeonju Hanok Village with a history commentator - Later Baekje Royal Palace and Fortress Tour: History of the Later Baekje Historic Sites in Jeonju Tours and Lectures 7. Food Masters - National Heritage Moonlight Tea Ceremony: A healing program to learn about and experience the tea ceremony firsthand. - National Heritage Bowl of Refinement: An event featuring a traditional rice cake making experience and a tasting of local traditional liquor. 8. Bargain Masters - National Heritage Youth Flea Market: An experiential flea market featuring various products prepared by local youth. - Sale of Jeonju Night Walk Developed Products: Sale and experience of souvenirs developed in-house by the Jeonju National Heritage Night Walk.
