Hoengseong Hanwoo Festival

The 22nd Hoengseong Hanwoo Festival is Korea's representative stay-type tourism festival, held for five days from October 7 to 11, 2026, along the Seomgang River embankment in Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon-do. Under the slogan "Delicious, Stay, Shine," the festival operates under the theme "A Staying Autumn, Hoengseong: The Shining City of Taste!" Its purpose is to promote the excellence and brand competitiveness of Hoengseong Hanwoo nationwide and to stimulate the local economy; the event is hosted and organized by the Hoengseong Culture and Tourism Foundation. The festival consists of 14 programs across three themes: food, culture and arts, and experiences. It operates as a time-extended festival that links daytime (10:00–18:00) and nighttime (18:00–21:00) programs to extend the duration of stay, and is a mutually beneficial festival in which local merchants, farmers, and residents participate together.
