About this event
The 22nd Hoengseong Hanwoo Festival is Korea's representative stay-type tourism festival, held for five days from October 7 to 11, 2026, along the Seomgang River embankment in Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon-do. Under the slogan "Delicious, Stay, Shine," the festival operates under the theme "A Staying Autumn, Hoengseong: The Shining City of Taste!" Its purpose is to promote the excellence and brand competitiveness of Hoengseong Hanwoo nationwide and to stimulate the local economy; the event is hosted and organized by the Hoengseong Culture and Tourism Foundation. The festival consists of 14 programs across three themes: food, culture and arts, and experiences. It operates as a time-extended festival that links daytime (10:00β18:00) and nighttime (18:00β21:00) programs to extend the duration of stay, and is a mutually beneficial festival in which local merchants, farmers, and residents participate together.

1. Main Programs - Uahan Music Festa: Performances by popular singers and local art groups, daily 19:00β21:00 on the main stage - Uju Fireworks Show: Large-scale multimedia fireworks performance, October 7 & 10 at 21:00 (2 shows) - Opening & Closing Ceremonies: October 7 (Opening), October 11 (Closing) 2. Side Programs - Hoengseong Hanwoo Grilling Areas (3 locations): Operated by the Livestock Cooperative, Agricultural Cooperative, and Hanwoo Cooperative; self-service style; open year-round - Hoengseong Hanwoo Sales Areas (3 locations): Sales of all Hanwoo cuts; open year-round - Hoengseong Matmadang Food Zone: Food booths featuring local businesses; open year-round - Hoengseong Local Farm Market: Direct sales market for agricultural specialties featuring local farms; open year-round
