Jaseongdang is a small noodle shop in the backstreets of Seogyo-dong, near Hongdae, specialising in jjolmyeon. The noodles are unusually thick and springy, served cold under a red chilli sauce with fruit in it that runs genuinely hot; the kitchen will make it milder if asked. There is also onmyeon, the same noodles served warm in an anchovy broth, for anyone who wants none of the heat. The room seats only a handful of people. Fried rolls are the side most tables order.
