Ungteori Meats is an all-you-can-eat barbecue in Hongdae serving unlimited pork belly and pork neck, cut thick. The grill plate is the thing to notice: a pot of doenjang jjigae sits bubbling in a well at the centre while the pork cooks around it. Lettuce, garlic, kimchi, and spring onion salad are refilled from a self-serve bar. The room is loud and full of students. Pushing kimchi and garlic to the lower edge of the plate, to fry in the rendered fat, is standard practice.
