Gwangju Namhansanseong Cultural Festival

The ‘Gwangju Namhansanseong Cultural Festival,’ Gwangju’s representative festival that reexamines the value of Namhansanseong, where history and culture come alive, in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the construction of the Namhansanseong fortress walls, will be held at Namhansanseong Provincial Park for three days from September 18 to 20. This festival is a meaningful occasion to reflect on the historical significance and cultural value of Namhansanseong, a UNESCO World Heritage site, together with citizens. During the festival, a diverse range of events will be presented, including various performances and stage programs that harmonize tradition and modernity, historical experience programs where visitors can directly experience the history and culture of Namhansanseong, participatory programs for citizens to join in and enjoy, and an experiential art market.
