Seosokkak Festival

The 22nd Soesokkak Festival, taking place for two days from September 19 to 20 in the Soesokkak area blessed with breathtaking natural scenery, is the representative festival of Hyodon-dong. It aims to promote the beautiful nature of Soesokkak and local cultural and tourism resources, while providing a venue for harmony where local residents and tourists can mingle. This year's festival will feature various performance programs, including the Youth Festival, Soesokkak Music Festival, and Soesokkak Song Festival, as well as diverse hands-on activities such as making mold dolls, balloon popping, and baseball throwing. In addition, on-site participatory programs like the Hahyo Port Treasure Hunt, Women's Arm Wrestling Competition, and Limbo, along with various attractions such as an outdoor swimming pool, a red clay path experience, and "Stories of Hyodon-dong in Photos," are prepared to offer unique enjoyment to families and tourists. On the first day of the festival, September 19, an opening ceremony, a celebratory performance by invited singer Moon Hee-kyung, and a fireworks display will take place, and on the second day, September 20, the Soesokkak Song Festival, a celebratory performance by invited singer Cleo, a prize draw, and a closing ceremony will follow to add to the enjoyment of the festival.
