On a mysterious night in October, very special guests travel back in time to visit the sleepless city of Damyang. Centered around Gwanbangjerim Forest, the Seokdanggan (Stone Flagpole) in Gaeksa-ri, and the Five-story Stone Pagoda in Namsan-ri, the Damyang National Heritage Night Tour unfolds the narratives of the historical and cultural figures born in Damyang. Dynamic storytelling fills the venue, ranging from a marketplace pangeuk that conveys the story of Seongbusa, who built Gwanbangjerim Forest, with love and laughter, to a heart-stirring madang changgeuk featuring Lee Nal-chi—the national master singer of the Joseon Dynasty born in Damyang—to a talk concert where night stories and piano melodies flow beneath the Seokdanggan, and family games and performances simulating the mission of Jeon Woo-chi, who honed his magical skills at Yeondongsa Temple in Damyang. Added to this are in-depth humanities lectures contemplating the secrets of the sound of Damyang singer-songwriter Kim Jeong-ho (known as "White Butterfly") and the commonalities between Seong Yi-seong and Jeon Cheon-sang. Layers of Damyang's history and culture are laid out upon the tranquil night of Damyang and the softly spread grass. On a mysterious night in October, you can experience the special atmosphere unique to Damyang.
