Hangeul Day Cultural Event

To commemorate the 580th anniversary of the promulgation of Hunminjeongeum, the "2026 Hangeul Day Cultural Event" will be held from October 9 to 10, 2026, at the site of the Mausoleum of King Sejong the Great. This event is organized to promote the achievements of King Sejong the Great and the value of Hangeul, as well as to reflect on the significance of Hangeul Day. Targeting children and family visitors, the event will feature special performances by "Catch! Teenieping" and interactive performances by "Common Siblings," along with various hands-on activities and exhibitions themed around Hangeul. Additionally, "Shelter Mini Concerts," showcasing diverse cultural and artistic performances, will take place throughout the Mausoleum. Alongside these, programs are prepared to allow visitors to learn about the history and value of Hangeul through hands-on activities themed around Hangeul and King Sejong the Great. Utilizing the historical and cultural spaces of the Mausoleum to host a variety of programs including performances, experiences, and exhibitions, this event offers an opportunity to culturally experience the meaning of King Sejong and Hangeul in celebration of Hangeul Day.
