Daejeon Jung-gu Book Festival

Building upon the diverse reading cultures and presences within Jung-gu discovered during the 2025 festival, the 2026 Jung-gu Book Festival opens Chapter 2, which aims to connect these entities and expand relationships within the city. Chapter 2, "Mutual Connection," is a festival that reads Jung-gu—where stories have accumulated over a long period—like a single book. By following the time embedded in the alleys, the memories remaining in the old city center, the lives of the people, and the emotions held by the region, the festival rediscovers and connects the stories already existing within Jung-gu. This festival establishes a platform that links people with people, places with memories, and the city with reading culture through the medium of books, and is structured as a time to share the depth of Jung-gu's stories and the potential of its reading culture.
