The Hwasun Jeokbyeok Cultural Festival is a local cultural festival held in the area surrounding Hwasun Jeokbyeok and the Iseo Community Center in Iseo-myeon, Hwasun-gun, Gwangju-integrated Metropolitan City, South Jeolla Province. The festival aims to provide diverse experiences and attractions for local residents and tourists by utilizing the natural landscape and historical and cultural value of Hwasun Jeokbyeok. Key programs include the Jeokbyeok Walking Program, where participants can enjoy walking along the cliffs; the GEO Environmental Music Concert, which raises awareness of the importance of the environment; Jeokbyeok Wellness Time for physical and mental healing; experiential programs in collaboration with local public institutions and organizations; and a marketplace selling Hwasun local specialties. Additionally, an exhibition of winning entries and an awards ceremony for the Jeokbyeok Youth Writing Contest will be held, along with resident participation programs (such as those by the Iseo Women's Association and the Lifestyle Improvement Association). Free shuttle buses will operate during the festival, and the event is expected to attract approximately 5,000 guests, local residents, and tourists.
