About this event

The Daejeon Special Effects Film Festival is the only film festival in Korea specializing in special effects, operating by linking the fields of creation, technology, and industry based on Daejeon's special effects industry infrastructure. Key programs include the DFX OTT Awards [Over The Top], which highlights special effects achievements in domestic video content; DFX Screening, consisting of special effects film screenings and Q&A sessions with the audience; the DFX Tech Show, which shares AI and VFX technologies and related industry trends; and DFX Pitch, which discovers special effects feature film projects. The DFX OTT Awards is an awards program that highlights special effects technology and expressive achievements in domestic OTT content. DFX Screening is a program that screens works utilizing special effects and facilitates dialogue between the audience, directors, actors, and production teams regarding the works. The DFX Tech Show is a program that introduces video production technologies, such as AI and VFX, as well as the current state of the industry. DFX Pitch is a program that discovers special effects feature film projects and provides opportunities for networking with production and industry stakeholders. The Daejeon Special Effects Film Festival is a cultural and artistic event where creators, technology experts, industry professionals, and audiences participate to share achievements and industry trends in the field of special effects.
