Gyeyang Araon Water Festival

The "4th Gyeyang Araon Water Festival," an experiential water play festival held at the waterfront of Gyeyang Araon, is set to begin. The event will take place over two days, from Saturday, July 25 to Sunday, July 26, at Hwang-eo Plaza in Gyeyang Araon, featuring a variety of activities including water play, water slides, water-based experiences, cultural performances, and experience booths. The most significant change in this year's festival compared to 2025 is the expansion of "motorized water leisure equipment." Moving beyond the static experiences of the past, thrilling motorized vehicles such as experience boats and donut boats have been introduced, and non-motorized kayaks will also be operated to further enhance the dynamism of the festival. Furthermore, the water play zone will feature various spaces where the whole family can enjoy water activities, including a frame pool, a kids' play zone, an infant zone, and water slides. In particular, every effort has been made to create a safe environment so that visitors can enjoy the festival with peace of mind, such as stationing lifeguards at every zone and limiting the number of visitors per time slot through pre-registration. In addition to water activities, there is an abundance of sights and entertainment to enjoy. A variety of cultural events, such as busking performances by youth and local artists, face painting, and water balloon target practice, are expected to take place throughout the venue, adding vibrancy to the atmosphere. Both the water play zone and water activities are free of charge. Advance registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis via "Naver Reservation" from 10:00 AM on Friday, July 10 to 6:00 PM on Thursday, July 16, with any remaining spots available for on-site registration.
