Paju Fair Book & Culture brings together major publishers, authors, readers, and bookstores to provide a special venue where books are not merely objects to be read, but can be viewed and enjoyed from new perspectives. It expands the scope of reading culture by showcasing diverse cultural and artistic creations—including performances, exhibitions, and experiences—that stem from books as a source of content. Furthermore, it fulfills the role of a global market by pioneering sales channels through the active introduction of excellent K-Books and related content to overseas markets, extending beyond the domestic sphere. The 2026 Paju Fair Book & Culture features a diverse program spanning approximately 10 days. Diverse performances will take place, including the opening ceremony "BOOKS ALIVE!", an indie music and dance festival, and a youth dance festival. The event offers a rich array of attractions through the integration of the book market "Nan-geotdeul" (meaning "Nan-geotdeul"), featuring participation from over 290 publishers and bookstores, the in-house program "Nan-jangpan," and thematic exhibitions. Additionally, youth companion programs will include the Paju Brewery Concert, the listening session "Let's Just Listen," and the "Chaeknic" experience, which involves renting picnic supplies. In addition, global publishing and IP business consultations and international forums are being held to promote the scalability of K-Books for overseas expansion, and a rich array of cultural networking programs, including lectures and flea markets taking place throughout the Publishing City, are prepared.
