Yeongdong Nangye Traditional Music Festival

*The food information below is based on the previous year (2025) festival; details for the 2026 festival are currently being updated.* This is an annual cultural and artistic performance festival themed around Gugak, a cultural heritage and traditional art form of Yeongdong-gun. Its purpose is to commemorate the musical achievements of Nangye Park Yeon and contribute to the promotion of traditional culture and arts. The 57th Yeongdong Nangye Gugak Festival aims to build upon the achievements of the 2025 Yeongdong World Gugak Expo to promote Gugak—a Korean heritage—to the world and contribute to the resurgence of the second wave of Korean culture. Furthermore, as the only Gugak festival in Korea, it strives to modernize traditional culture and arts through diverse performances and experiential programs, and to develop the festival into a local tourism resource through programs tailored to regional characteristics. It provides a grand gathering for the harmony of county residents through the enhancement of their cultural standards and voluntary participation.
