Gwangmyeong Festival

Festival Gwangmyeong is Gwangmyeong's representative festival that fills the streets of Gwangmyeong with music, culture, and the excitement of the festival. This year, a total of 11 artists are scheduled to perform on the main stage, ‘GM Live.’ On the 3rd, the unrivaled singer-songwriter 10CM will take the stage as the headliner, joined by talented artists such as Daybreak, Jackin' Kong, Asrai, and Asadal. On the 4th, led by Korean rock legend Kim Jong-seo, artists including Romantic Punch, Bulnabang Star Sausage Club, Shin Hyun-hee Band, Cactus, and Luamel will take the stage to continue the festive atmosphere. In addition, various programs that all citizens can enjoy, such as random play dance, street karaoke, bubble shows, stilt walkers, and plaster mime, are scheduled to take place in the street plaza created by blocking off an eight-lane road. Marble games and mini-games are also prepared to allow visitors to enjoy Gwangmyeong's representative tourist destinations, the "9 Scenic Spots of Gwangmyeong," in a fun and engaging way. Furthermore, events such as the "Citizen Parade," where Gwangmyeong citizens participate directly in marching through the streets, and the "Citizen Street Commemorative Ceremony" will be held. Along with this, the event is planned to be richly curated with diverse programs, including "Experience & Market Programs" featuring various social economy and civic organizations in Gwangmyeong, and "Busking Performances" in the commercial district organized by Gwangmyeong's youth.
