Gwangju Seochang Silver Grass Festival

The Gwangju Seochang Silver Grass Festival is an urban ecological festival held annually in October along the Yeongsan River. It is a festival where visitors can enjoy the atmosphere of autumn alongside nature by walking along the silver silver grass paths and watching the sunset over the Seochang fields, one of the eight scenic spots of Seo-gu. The 11th Gwangju Seochang Silver Grass Festival, themed "A Journey into Autumn Conveyed by Silver Silver Grass," will take place for four days from October 15 to 18, 2026, in the area around the Yeongsan River Bicycle Path Information Center. The festival grounds will offer various experiential content combining walking and sound, such as the "Silver Grass Path with Melodies," the "SG Silver Grass Field Lounge" featuring LP music, "Soundscape," and "Making Sound Walking Maps." Additionally, the festival will feature participatory programs for visitors, such as "Find the King of Rest," "Sunset 530," and "Walking Silver Grass Expedition," as well as the "2026 Gwangju Seochang Silver Grass Sunset Marathon" and walking programs for pet dogs. It is Gwangju Seo-gu's representative autumn ecological festival, designed to allow visitors to enjoy both relaxation and experiences in nature, centering on silver grass, sunsets, music, and walks.
