*The following festival food details are from the previous year (2025); the 2026 festival details are currently being updated.* As the only festival in Korea themed around "Hangul," it is held annually as Sejong City's representative festival to commemorate Hangul Day. Based on the spirit of the creation of Hangul, an outstanding achievement of King Sejong the Great, the festival has been held since 2013, and in 2025, the name was changed from the "Sejong Festival" to the "Sejong Hangul Festival." Through performance, exhibition, and experience programs that reinterpret the beauty and creativity of Hangul in a modern way, the festival is operated as a venue that everyone, regardless of age or gender, can relate to and enjoy, transcending generations and nationalities. Furthermore, through diverse cultural and artistic programs that blend tradition and modernity, it is growing into a unique and differentiated cultural tourism festival of Sejong City where visitors can easily and enjoyably experience the charm of Hangul and the spirit of King Sejong the Great right in the heart of the city.
