The Jeongjo Hyo Cultural Festival, held in the area surrounding Jeongjo Hyo Park, is the representative historical and cultural festival of Hwaseong Special City, embodying both historical value and family-friendly elements. Visitors can enjoy a variety of performances and traditional experience programs. In particular, the Hyeonnyeongwon Cheonwon, which reenacts the epic relocation of King Jeongjo’s father, Crown Prince Sado’s tomb, to Yungneung in Hwaseong City—renowned as the most auspicious site in Joseon—is a signature program that symbolically demonstrates King Jeongjo’s profound filial piety. Furthermore, on October 4th, the Royal Procession of King Jeongjo, reenacting the Eulmyo Royal Procession of 1795, will depart from Dongtan Central Park to unfold a magnificent procession, offering a diverse array of sights that blend tradition and modernity. Held in "Hwaseong Special City," the city of filial piety and a place of unparalleled auspiciousness, this festival promises to provide a special time for history, culture, and families to come together.
