About this event

The Hwasun Unju Cultural Festival is a representative cultural event held at Unjusa Temple in Hwasun, a mysterious sanctuary where a thousand Buddha statues and stone pagodas reside in every valley. Within the tranquil temple grounds, where the legend of the Reclining Buddha—who has embraced a thousand years of history—harmonizes with countless stone pagodas, a diverse range of cultural and artistic programs unfold that everyone, regardless of age, can enjoy together. Music performances of various genres, including heart-stirring traditional bell ringing and Pungmulnori, liven up the festival atmosphere, while a rich array of participatory missions exploring every corner of Unjusa Temple and traditional cultural experiences are also provided. As autumn deepens, you can embark on a journey through time and space into the mysterious legend of the Thousand Buddhas and Thousand Pagodas, creating warm rest and special memories.
