Jeungpyeong Ginseng Valley Festival

The Jeungpyeong Ginseng Valley Festival is a representative regional festival held every autumn in Jeungpyeong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. It is a comprehensive cultural festival that combines diverse cultural and artistic performances, hands-on programs, exhibitions, and competitions. Jeungpyeong, which accounts for approximately two-thirds of Chungcheongbuk-do's ginseng production and has established itself as the home of ginseng, has long grown as a center for ginseng cultivation and distribution. Through this festival, the region promotes the excellence of its local specialties, ginseng and red ginseng pork, not only to the nation but also to the world. Key programs include the "Inmaek Party (Ginseng + Beer)," where visitors can enjoy ginseng and beer accompanied by EDM music; the "International Youth Festival," featuring youth from Korea and abroad; the "National Ginseng Valley Song Festival," which appeals to all generations; and the "National Busking Festival," where visitors can enjoy performances of various genres. Additionally, spectacular fireworks displays are held daily throughout the festival, providing visitors with special memories. In addition, it is a multi-sensory experiential festival where people of all ages can participate and enjoy together, featuring various themed experience spaces such as the ‘Children and Family Experience Zone’ and the ‘Health Experience Zone,’ as well as on-site auctions of local agricultural products and traveling traditional wrestling. As the number of foreign tourists steadily increases every year and the festival continues to grow into a global event, it contributes significantly to the promotion of local agricultural products and the revitalization of the local economy; furthermore, its value has been recognized by being selected as a Promising Festival designated by Chungcheongbuk-do in 2025.
