About this event
By commemorating the historical fact that King Sejong the Great stayed at the Chojeong Royal Palace for 120 days, treated his diabetes and eye ailments with Chojeong mineral water, and achieved great accomplishments such as governing the state and creating the Korean alphabet, this event aims to shed new light on the value of King Sejong and Chojeong mineral water, and to widely promote the historical and scientific excellence of Chojeong mineral water, which is one of the world's three rarest mineral waters. Through this, by spreading the value of Cheongju's pristine natural environment and health resources both domestically and internationally, it seeks to lay the foundation for leaping beyond the national level into a world-class cultural tourism festival, and to establish itself as a representative brand festival of Cheongju based on the achievements of the past 20 years.

1. Official Events - Royal Procession: Reenactment of King Sejong the Great's journey to Chojeong - Opening Ceremony: An event marking the start of the festival - Yeongcheonje: A traditional ritual praying for the miraculous properties of Chojeong mineral water and the peace and prosperity of the region - Yangnoyeon: A banquet hosted by King Sejong the Great with respect for the elderly - Opening Ceremony: Opening performance and special performances 2. Performance Zone - Operation of the Performance Village (Relay performances by local art groups) - Citizen cultural and artistic performances - Performance of Tightrope Walking, a National Intangible Cultural Heritage 3. Experience Zone - Traditional workshop experiences, crafting experiences, and foot bath experiences 4. Participation Zone - Participatory events such as the National Youth Essay Contest and Treasure Hunt 5. Exhibition Zone - Hunminjeongeum book and digital exhibitions, Chojeong Royal Palace media art, etc.
